How to Score 4/4 in Blog Writing

Health is Wealth: The True Treasure
Published on Feb 10, 202^ByXYZ the blogger
Introduction
We run after money all our lives, often ignoring the machine that earns it—our body. As the proverb goes, "He who has health has hope, and he who has hope has everything." But are we really prioritising it? Sadly, most of us wait until we fall sick to realise the true value of a fit body. It is A high time we shift our focus from merely accumulating wealth to preserving our physical well-being.
The RealityIn today’s fast-paced world, junk food and sleepless nights have become the norm. But what is the use of a 7-figure salary if you spend it on hospital bills? Good health increases productivity, improves mental stability, and keeps us happy. Without a strong immune system, even the most luxurious lifestyle feels entirely worthless. Therefore, investing a little time in training exercises is the smartest financial decision you can ever make.
Conclusion
Start small. Drink more water, walk for 20 minutes, and sleep for 7 hours. Your body is the only place you have to live in. Take care of it. Remember that building a heavy lifestyle is a marathon, not a quick sprint. Let us pledge today to treat our health as our ultimate pleasure treasure and inspire others to do the same.

Example 2: Environmental Issue
Topic: Write a blog on "Say No to Plastic"Plastic: The Silent Killer
By XYZ the blogger | 5th June 2024The Problem
Look around you. How many plastic items do you see? Plastic takes 500 years to decompose. It is choking our oceans, killing marine life, and entering our food chain. Every single piece of plastic exists on our planet in some form today. If we do not act immediately, we will leave a highly toxic legacy for our future generations.
The Solution
The change begins with YOU. Carry a cloth bag to the market. Stop buying single-use water bottles. Use steel tiffins instead of plastic boxes. "Refuse" is better than "Recycle." These single daily choices can reduce the mountains of waste ending up in our landfills. Furthermore, we must ideally encourage our friends and family members to adopt these sustainable habits.
Final Thought
Our planet does not need a handful of people doing zero waste always perfectly. It needs millions doing it imperfectly. It is our great responsibility to protect the environment before it is too late. Let us pledge today to make our Earth breathable again. Say NO to plastic and YES to life.

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies." Reading is the cheapest ticket to travel the world. It improves vocabulary, reduces stress, and expands our imagination. It allows us to step into the shoes of fascinating characters and experience diverse cultures we may never physically visit. Ultimately, immersing yourself in a good story is the perfect workout for a healthy, active brain

Disconnecting from technology for just an hour allows your mind to truly absorb the author's wisdom without constant distractions.
Final Words
Make reading a daily habit. Even 10 pages a day can change your mindset. Over time, this small daily commitment will dramatically transform your perspective and enrich your soul. Grab a fascinating novel from your local library today and unlock the endless magic of literature!

How Much Should You Write for 4 Marks?
Many students get confused about the length of the blog. Since Q.4(D) carries exactly 4 Marks, you do not need to write 3 pages!
To score a perfect 4/4, your blog body should be around 100 to 150 words.
Break your content into 3 to 4 short paragraphs:
Paragraph 1 (Introduction): A catchy hook to grab the reader's attention (2-3 lines).
Paragraph 2 (Main Body): Explain the core topic, give facts, or share an experience (4-5 lines).
Paragraph 3 (Conclusion & Call to Action): Summarize and ask the readers to leave a comment or share their thoughts (2-3 lines).
Common Mistakes to Avoid in Blog Writing
Examiners strictly cut marks if you make these three common mistakes in your board paper:
Forgetting the Website Layout: If you just write paragraphs without drawing the outer box, the website title, and the menu bar (Home, About, Contact), you will instantly lose 1 whole mark.
Writing it like a Formal Essay: A blog is not a speech or a formal letter. Use a conversational, friendly, and engaging tone. You can use words like "Hey guys," or "Let me know in the comments!"
Ignoring the Catchy Title: Your blog must have a main headline. Don't just write "Blog on Environment." Write something catchy like "Go Green: 5 Simple Ways to Save Our Planet."
Frequently Asked Questions (HSC Board)
Q1: Do I need to draw the box with a pencil or pen?
Answer: Always draw the outer box and the menu bar with a pencil and a ruler to make it look incredibly neat. Write the actual text inside with your pen.
Q2: Will I lose marks if my blog is more than 200 words?
Answer: While marks are not usually deducted for extra length, writing too much wastes your precious exam time! Stick to the 100-150 word limit so you have enough time to finish your literature section.
Q3: Can I use informal language or slang?
Answer: You can use a friendly and conversational tone, but avoid extreme internet slang (like "idk", "lol", or "wanna"). Keep the grammar correct and the language polite.
Q4: Which is the easiest option in Q.4(D): Review, Blog, or Appeal?
Answer: Blog writing is highly recommended! Because the format itself carries 1 mark, it is much easier to score high marks here compared to a Film Review, which requires you to remember exact cast names and plot details.
